About Me

This is what I do.

I teach computer science at the University of Texas at Dallas. I've been working with computers since the days of punched cards and mainframes as a programmer, textbook author, and teacher.

I have a wonderful husband of 30+ years, two grown sons and one daughter-in-law. I'm a native Texan, my husband is from Persia, and my daughter-in-law's family came from Pakistan. We enjoy cooking (and especially eating) food from all of the above cultures.

My hobbies are reading, hiking, and knitting. The picture above shows a couple of scarves I knit as they dried on the back deck on the flip side of a Persian tablecloth .For my fellow knitters, my Ravelry name is Mazidi.
